The Standard - East Village

Nice decoration and good location. Walking distance to many nice restaurants and stores.

The Standard East Village is an amazing hotel in an amazing location with an amazing view. We were on the 16th floor, and as we had a corner room, we had a view of both the One World Trade Center and the Empire State building. The staff were fantastic and helped us every time we needed it - including the offering of a hug when I was on the patio writing my son a send-off letter! I would not hesitate to stay here again.

Fantastic views from both of the rooms we booked. We could see the sunset from the bed. The size of the room is good for NYC. The location is good, in close proximity to NYU and easy walk to many other neighborhoods.

The staff were beyond friendly and accommodating. I arrived early and they called me as soon as my room was available, so I wasn't stuck wandering around the city for hours. The room was so comfortable. I went back to my room to grab a jacket I left behind, and the maid was cleaning. She very politely had me prive I was the occupant before letting me run off with the jacket. That left me feeling secure with the staff as stewards of our safety. The amenities were perfect.

This was my third stay at the East Village Standard. This time I stayed in a double queen as I was travelling with my parents. The room on the 15th floor had an amazing view. The internet went down when I was checking in but the people working at the reception were awfully nice and managed to find a way to let us go to our room even though their system was down. Can't wait to come back to my favorite hotel in the city!
